Drench Leaves Us Soggy

Blogs all over the place are atwitter about this spot: Example 1, Example 2, Example 3.

We think it’s pretty fruity and forgettable. We know the character, Brains, is from a British TV show in the mid-60s, so maybe we don’t get it because we never watched the show. But, eh. What do you think?

  1. “Brains” from the 60’s Jerry Anderson show, “Thunderbirds.” “Team America” was a twisted homage to the show.

Rent it. Buy it. Know it.

  2. it might be more amusing if it were a bunch of animated lizards. Yeah, right.

And what the fuck was that lame tie together? “Brains perform best when they’re hydrated?” Brains, Get it? Perform, get it? It takes a real powerhouse mind to make that giant leap.
I would hope the general public would be more sophisticated than to fall for this lame ass pun-based crap, but from the atwitterness of the blogisphere, it doesn’t seem that is the case. It’s a sad YouTube world we have to create in.

  3. Brains was used much better in the old Economist ad. It was just his picture on a red background.
