Vauxhall Unveils New Auto – Men In Black-Style
A pretty nice way to call attention to a new car launch.
According to an article on the London se1 website:
A strange crater appeared in Potters Fields Park on Saturday as part of the launch of Vauxhall’s new Insignia car range.
The large object had ‘landed’ on the grass next to City Hall and was emitting smoke and a strange noise.
Men in dark glasses were guarding the crash site and refusing to explain to passers-by what was happening.
From what we can ascertain from our web search, (or at least the way we envisioned it going down) the object remained in the field all weekend, and was extracted via crane on Monday. The tubular object opened and “dropped” the car 45 feet. The women playing instruments are pretty cheesy, and you can tell it was actually lowered via cables, but it was still a pretty novel introduction.
