Guidos? In Our City?

Local dude Chris Reinhard has noticed a disturbing trend in the local scene: Guidos.

Lucky for all of us, he’s taken preemptive action and emailed Mayor Hickenlooper about it. An excerpt from his letter:

Dear Mayor Hickenlooper,

I recently was made aware of a disconcerting problem in the Denver Metro Area. Especially in and around nightclubs and bars, the subset of guidos is growing. You may not be familiar with guidos: these men and women wear exceptionally ‘loud’ clothing, misuse and abuse artificial tanning facilities throughout the city, and are usually associated with poor social behavior that is infringing upon the good nature of Denver’s other, more responsible and fun-loving residents. I obviously needn’t express further why this is such a dangerous issue, but I must stress that the longer it is neglected, the more problematic it is destined to become.

  1. Ha ha ha. I grew up in the NYC area… we have it good here in Denver. There’s no Jersey Shore around the Denver area, I think we’re safe for a few years. ;)

  5. I moved here after living in Jersey for 2 years. They’re affectionately referred to as “Bennies”, and that ridiculous hairstyle is known as the “Brooklyn Blowout”.
